The Geekvape Aegis range is an established range amongst vape kits in today’s world. Known for their shockproof, waterproof and dustproof design, all kits in the range are made for durability. Those days where you drop your kit, throw it at a wall, or run it over, the Aegis range always has your back. Today however, we look at the Aegis X kit, which is one of the latest models in the Aegis range. Heres what we think, highlighting some of its key benefits. Geekvape Aegis X Kit Design Despite its 2.4 inch OLED colour screen, the Aegis X doesn’t hold back on it’s solid feel. Just like the rest of the Aegis range, the X feels safe and secure in your hand, the buttons feel solid and it feels extremely well built, which is handy for a kit that is designed to be durable and shockproof. Power Dual 18650 external batteries power the Aegis X, giving you complete versatility when it comes to selecting your battery of choice. A single cap pops off the bottom exposing the battery holes for you to put any 18650 battery in. If you want to know more about which batteries suit which kits, check out our batteries blog. When you’re looking at wattage, the Aegis X is a 200w mod with a wattage range between 5w-200w, however the recommended wattage to use this kit at is 60w-80w. The Tank… The Geekvape Aegis X kit uses the Cereberus Tank which is a historically fantastic tank in terms of quality and functionality. The standard TPD version of the the Cereberus tank is 2ml in capacity, like all kits sold in the UK and Europe. This tank/kit is definitely most suitable for sub-ohm vaping which is vaping with coils with a resistance of less than 1. Geekvape Aegis X Technology Fitted with an upgraded AS 2.0 chipset, the Aegis X keeps up with some of the more technologically advanced kits like the Aspire Dynamo, or the OBS FP Cube. It has 5 main screen displays that you can easily flick between: Mode (1/2/3/4) Battery Levels Power and Power Mode Voltage Current Rating Coil Resistance Puff Count Conclusion In summary, the Aegis X really is a fantastic kit. It provides great vapour, its solid and is clearly well built for its purpose – to be durable. It has enough technology for it to compete with the most technologically advanced chipset kits out there, but also retains its sturdiness despite its OLED screen. The X is one of the more expensive kits on the market, but we feel its price is justified by the build quality, and internal technology. Geekvape also offer a slightly upgraded version with the same mod but with their Zeus Tank instead.
