The Elux Legend Mini has seriously grown in popularity in recent months and Elux really look to challenge the titans of disposables Elf Bar and Geekbar. This begs the question, can the Elux compare with the giants and how does it perform through a vigorous Vape.co.uk test? Let’s find out.
Key Features of the Elux Legend Mini
The Elux Legend Mini is of course a completely disposable kit, meaning you just inhale and go. There are no buttons and certainly no maintenance required to us the Legend Mini. Powered by a 500mAh built-in battery, the Elux Legend Mini should offer around 600 puffs per kit (approx), which is roughly equivalent to 35 cigarettes. Each kit is pre-filled with 2ml of e-liquid in a 20mg nicotine strength. The coil inside the kit is a 1.5Ohm which is well suited to the Nic Salt e-liquid that the Lux uses.
The Elux Legend Mini at the time of writing is currently available in 24 flavours. These flavours are only available in a 20mg nicotine strength and each device is pre-filled with 2ml of e-liquid.
Flavour List:
Blueberry Raspberry Fuji Melon Blueberry Pomegranate Mr Blue Blackcurrant Menthol Tiger Blood White Peach Razz Peach Blueberry Candy Fresh Mint Banana Pudding Cotton Candy Watermelon Ice Peach Mango Unicorn Shake Apple Peach Pear Red Apple Ice Jungle Juice Pink Lemonade Clear Strawberry Watermelon Bubblegum Blueberry Bubblegum Blueberry Sour Raspberry Sour Apple Strawberry Ice Cream
Flavour Test
What’s the one thing that is most important for a disposable vape kit? Flavour, of course. So how does the Elux Legend Mini fair for flavour? Well, it’s definitely an enjoyable experience but this one will depend on what you like from a disposable. If you love really sweet disposables like the Geekbar, this may not be sweet enough. The Ice flavours in the Elux range are quite subtle, they aren’t very icy so again if you like an icy hit, maybe this isn’t the kit for you.
The draw is quite loose on the Legend Mini, and the vapour production is very discreet, certainly not a very full vape. Despite this, the liquid is definitely nice and you do get a great flavour from the kit. In summary, the flavour is still brilliant in the Elux, but it’s not very cooling and not very lingering. If that’s what you like, this may well be the kit for you.
Build Quality and Design
The shape of the Elux is a rectangular cuboid. It’s box like design is quite different from most disposables, but similar to any other Elux design you might have seen before. Weight wise it’s pretty similar to most disposables, sitting in the 25-30g mark, which makes it feel sturdy enough in your hand but certainly not bulky. The Legend Mini has a matte paint finish, with the ELUX logo and flavour neatly placed on the front of the device in a matte white.
It’s rectangular body gives the Legend Mini a sturdy feel and a strong build quality. Unlike other disposables of this shape, Elux have chosen to go for a mouthpiece that is much more slim and well built. This is definitely one of the comfiest mouthpieces in the disposable game, it’s sort of half duck-like but not as flat so sits in the mouth much nicer than a Geek Bar or even the comfy Elf Bar. Despite a sturdy build quality, one pet peeve I have with the Elux Legend is the airflow inlet being on the very bottom of the kit. If you’re a little clumsy or have relatively big hands like me, you’re going to cover the airflow inlet at the bottom which will restrict the vapour you draw from the device. It would have been much more elegant to put a small airflow on the side, I think this contributes to the loose draw you get on the kit.
Pro’s and Con’s of the Elux Legend Mini Disposable
Pro’s
Good Flavour
Comfiest mouthpiece available right now
Sturdy Build
Good Battery Life
Con’s
Not a very full vapour production
Airflow covers the whole bottom of the kit
Summary…
Overall, the Elux Legend Mini is one of the better disposables on the market, but I’m not sure it’s quite ready to take on the big boys yet. It’s worth noting that Elux have quite a few disposables, like the Elux Mini, Elux Bar and Elux Flow kits, maybe they can compete, we’ll have to test them and see. For the meantime, the Legend mini is a good kit, but it’s not a great one. The airflow being on the bottom is a big problem, but perhaps this is offset with the extremely comfortable mouthpiece and really good flavour delivery.
