Today we’re reviewing the all new Innokin Sensis Pod Kit. Innokin at first glance appear to have changed the game when it comes to technology, coil longevity and flavour – but have they really?
We handed the kit over to our resident reviewer Braedon to give his thoughts, but before that let’s understand a bit more about the kit, why it’s so special and some of it’s key specs.
The Innokin Sensis In a Nutshell
The Innokin Sensis Pod Kit is a next-gen vape kit, offering a range of exciting features for technology lovers. Offering both Mouth-to-lung (MTL) and Restricted Direct-to-lung (RDTL) vaping, the Sensis is a versatile pod system suitable for all levels of vaper. Powered by a huge 3000mAh internal battery, the Sensis promises to give you day long vaping without the need to recharge (apparently).
Innokin have seriously focused on technology with this kit. With the Coil+ mode which runs at 40% of your selected wattage for 0.4s at the end of each draw, the Sensis will prime your coil every time you inhale – making your coils last longer. The all new Find F functionality also produces a waveform output at the selected frequency. The best Find F frequency depends on your coil and the e-liquid used – again to increase coil lifespan and offer better flavour. Now what is particularly interesting about Find F is you can;t actually unlock it without the secret code. An interesting gamification move from Innokin, possibly a little frustrating but the idea is around experiencing the kit without Find F first.
It doesn’t stop there for the Sensis though, the all new Refresh feature that allows you to manually refresh the coil between hits to provide better wicking and further increasing coil longevity.
Innokin Sensis Review
Thanks to the amazing guys at vape.co.uk, I’ve had the opportunity to try the brand new Innokin Sensis mod and give my thoughts on it.
Key Specs:
Size – 121 x 40 x 30mm
Tank Capacity – 3.1ml / 2ml
Battery mAh – 3000 mAh
Minimum / Maximum Wattage – 6.0w-40w
Charging Current – 1.7A
Appearance
The first thing I was immediately struck by was the box and it’s presentation. A sleeve with an image of the Sensis on the front, and then a light beige trim underneath.
Once you lift the sleeve, the box itself reveals itself to be light beige and the whole vibe I receive is one of prestige and class.
You’re also presented with the word [F]IND inside followed by 5 words beginning with F (see image below).
It seems as though there’s a missing word (represented by a ‘?’), which I assume you either have to either have to discover yourself or apply your own unique word to it.
On the side of the sleeve, “FIND-F” is also written in large blue letters. If anyone knows more about this, please let me know! Answers on a postcard (or in a comment below).
Upon opening the beige-brown box, you’re presented with gorgeous light blue colours (if that’s the colour you go for). Overall, a very neat and tidy package. Definitely one of my favourite mod package presentations I’ve come across so far.
What’s in the box?
As well as the kit itself, you’ll see a USB cable charger, a spare coil and spare mouth piece.
Features
The power ranges from 6.0w 40 wattage, and the juice is filled up at the bottom of the stylish glass tank via a rubber seal opening. It also had a “remove” sticker on the valve which I’ve never seen before.
The airhole – which dictates whether you take the hit to your mouth before the throat or take a straight throat hit – is located on the back with a horizontal dial underneath the tank.
Most people have their own presence on the kind of hits they like, so feel free to experiment with this (I personally like having the airline slightly open, but I wouldn’t recommend having it fully closed).
Be careful as the airhole dial can be easy to move by mistake, so make sure to take a look at where it’s placed before you vape it straight from your pocket.
The interface is extremely simple, which i think is fantastic for beginners and those just looking for an easy and convenient mod to use.
Sometimes, mods can really overdo it with features that no one really wants to use, and extra complexities that often tell me the manufacturer has tried too hard to be clever, but only succeeds in confusing and frustrating the user.
Here, what you see is what you get – left and right arrows to adjust the current wattage power on the mod. That’s all there is to it, and it’s refreshingly welcome.
I have also found this mod to be extremely nice to hold. For optimum ergonomy, the outside of the mod has a deep blue rubber coating to keep things very comfortable. The inside of the mod (including the screen) is what you pull on (I.e. click or tap) in order to fire the trigger.
The battery life, represented by a green bar on top right hand of the screen, is actually superb – over 2 days of solid vaping without needing to be charged.
When it does need to be charged, it will be via the USB cable that comes with it (this isn’t a mod in which you can replace the battery on.
General Performance
As a fairly seasoned vaper, I’m used to mods with very strong hits, so at 40w capacity it’s not something I would likely use on a regular basis.
However, the hit is clean and satisfying without being overpowering, the flavour of each juice is consistently clear and crisp, and big clouds are easily generated to add the cherry on the top.
I think this would be the perfect starter kit for someone quite new to vaping and looking to quit smoking. It feels great to hold, is light as a feather and it’s size makes it extremely discreet, but is still very nice to look at.
Due to its battery life and portable design, I can also imagine more experienced vapers using this as a spare mod on the go for whenever batteries run low, or if you fancy a lighter hit during the day.
Overall, I’m very impressed. Kudos to the guys at Innokin for keeping things simple and effective with the Sensis mod.
