Geekvape have been in the vaping game since 2015 and have up until recently were best known for their bigger, more powerful and durable vape kits. In 2020 Geekvape launched the Geekbar, the rise in its popularity proved to Geekvape that there was a demand for smaller, more discreet vape kits. This lead to the birth of the Aegis One and 1FC Pod Kit.

Build Quality
When it comes to overall build quality of any Geekvape kit, you always know you are inevitably going to get a consistent level of high quality. The Aegis 1FC pod kit is no exception to this rule. It has a robust, well-built design. Weighing in at 62g, nearly double the weight of its competitors (such as the Uwell Caliburn A2) it’s one of the most durable pod kits i’ve come across, if not the most durable. The ergonomic design makes this a perfect, on the go vape kit. I’ll go into how it performs slightly later on in this blog.
The Aegis 1FC boasts a sleek design, available in 5 smart colours which are all as easy on the eye as the last. One side of of the kit has a professional leather style material wrap which allows for a comfortable feel when in hand. On the other side, you’ll find a smooth screen like finish where you can find the airhole and the three battery level indicators which also show you the voltage level.
One light equals 3.3 Volts or less
Two lights equal 3.4-3.8 Volts
Three lights equal 3.8-4.2 Volts
How does the Geekvape Aegis 1FC Pod Kit fair as an all day vape?
So I have been using the 1FC as my everyday vape kit for nearly 5 weeks now; and as the days go on my feelings grow stronger. Poetic, I know. It’s so far the only small pod kit that i’ve liked in which you can change the power output. It’s really only one of the only small pod kits, suitable for nic salts that has this feature. The 1FC has a 550mAh battery which seems relatively small, but is more than enough for a full day of vaping. With a USB-C charger connection, this bad boy can fully charge in just 15 minutes. If, like me you are someone who always forgets to charge their kit; and whacks it on charge last minute charges before you head out to the pub, this is an ideal kit for you.
The pods come in at 2ml, and are extremely easy to refill. You simply pull the mouthpiece off (you don’t even need to fight with it like other pod kits such as the Caliburn), and the top fill pod allows for an easy refill. The pods themselves have a magnetic connection, so when you need to take the pod out from the kit itself it easily pops in and out, no twisting required. Here’s some common questions around kits that I thought i’d include.
Does the Aegis 1FC leak? No, if you’re pod is leaking its probably down to 1 of 2 things. The first being you’ve overfilled it, it’s always worth only filling up 2/3 in my humble opinion. This will help avoid any mess. The second is is if you’ve been using the pod a while, it’s probably coming to the end of its life and it’s time to let it go.
Does it actually charge that quickly?Yes, yes it does charge in 15 minutes.
How durable is it?Geekvape have maintained their durability status, and have probably created the most durable small pod kit we’ve tried as of yet.
How long do the coils/pods last? As always, this depends on how much you use the kit. I’d say i’m a pretty heavy vaper, and each pod seems to be lasting me 7-10 days which i’m pretty happy with. This is about the standard when it comes to pod kits.
Is the Geekvape Aegis 1FC kit compatible with nic salts? In short, yes it is. We tried the 1FC with both freebase nicotine E-liquids and nicotine salts; and nic salts are definitely more suited to both pods.
Is it a good replacement for moving off Disposables?
The Geekvape Aegis 1FC kit comes with 2 pods in the box. 1 x 0.8ohm pod and 1 x 1.2ohm pod. Both pods allow for a diverse style of vaping. The 0.8ohm coil allows for a more open, full vaping experience; more of a DTL vape. Whereas the 1.2ohm coil provides a slightly tighter, more discreet draw. The 1.2ohm is closer to that of a cigarette pull, making this a perfect kit to help people kick the cigarettes.
The flavour production is actually pretty good on these. If you’re looking for maximum flavour like that of an Elf Bar or disposable alike; it’s worth using the 1.2ohm pods. It’s difficult to get any where near the flavours you’ll experience when vaping disposables, but the Aegis 1FC is pretty good. Choose a good quality nic salt, like the 20mg Aisu Nic salts and you’re on to a winner.
Performance wise you’ll get a slightly looser vape from both the 1.2ohm pods and the 0.8ohm pods than that of a disposable vape. So if you like a more restricted feel from your vape, if you’re wanting to move off disposables i’d recommend something like the Caliburn G2.
Pros
Good battery life and even better charge time
Good flavour
Robust enough to open a beer with
Good shape on the mouthpiece
Super easy filling – probably my favourite part of this kit
Reliable autodraw
Suggestions
Airflow may not be restrictive enough for disposable vape users – add an airflow slider
Improve coil technology
Overall Thoughts
This little kit has surprised me, and in a good way! I wasn’t too sure of it at the start; I came from using a Uwell Caliburn A2 pod kit so the standards were set pretty high. I think Geekvape have executed the delivery of the 1FC very nicely. It has a sleek, smart design which is pretty durable so all things build wise they have done very well. The flavour is good, but not quite Uwell good.
