It looks slick, it’s Gold and it’s box is shaped like a Gold Bar. It’s Vape Gold’s Gold Bar Disposable Vape. It might look the part, but that matters little if the taste is rubbish and it doesn’t last. So does it? Well we tested it out to see if the device itself lives up to the very unique image.
Key Features and Specifications of the Gold Bar Disposable Vape
Like most disposables in the UK, the Gold Bar offers up to 600 puffs (approx) thanks to a built-in 500mAh built in battery. It is pre-filled with 2ml of e-liquid in a 20mg (2%) nicotine strength. This makes it a TPD compliant product. There is no way to refill or recharge the Gold Bar, making it a completely disposable device. Equally, there are no buttons on the small Golden device, meaning to use it you just inhale.

Gold Bar Flavour Test
Overall, the flavour on the Gold Bar is incredible. Similarly to some of the most popular disposables like Elf Bar and SKE Crystal, the flavour is full and consistent. We found that the flavour typically lasts the life of the kit, with it dying off a little towards the very end of the lifespan. There are a huge range of flavours to choose from, with some incredible ones like Strawberry Peach, Raspberry Watermelon and Oasis being our favourites.
Design, Build Quality and Battery Life of the Gold Bar
Design
The design of the Gold Bar is pretty much what you’d imagine…a Gold Bar. The casing is a plastic Gold with an angled duck beak mouth piece, much like many other disposables. Something that’s really cool is the flavour is actually engraved on the front of the kit in the form of the fruits they relate to, as well as the flavour on the other side of the device. Perhaps the coolest part of the design is in the box itself. The box is shaped like an actual Gold Bar, with shining packaging and the flavours neatly engraved into the front.
We took some pictures so you can see for yourself.
Build Quality
The build quality on the Gold Bar isn’t great. It does feel quite inauthentic and cheap, but it is a disposable vape kit after all, it’s not going to be made of solid gold (pun intended). We’d say it’s of adequate build quality, but isn’t as solid as some other disposables.
Battery Life
The battery life is good on the Gold Bar, but it isn’t great. For example if you’ve used Lost Mary vapes in the past, it doesn’t last as long as this but probably longer than an original Elf Bar. We got around 400 puffs out of most of the ones we tried, which is a far cry from the advertised 600 puffs, but most disposables are the same in this regard. Flavour seemed to be consistent throughout the entire battery life.
Pro’s and Con’s of the Gold Bar
Pro’s
Design
Incredible flavour
Wide flavour range with some unique flavours
Con’s
Battery life (relative to Lost Mary’s)
Summary…
In conclusion, the Gold Bar may be a bit of a novelty product but it’s certainly up there in terms of flavour which is one of the most important attributes for a disposable. The build quality isn’t great, but I don’t think that really matters with disposable kits all that much. We’d certainly put this in the top 10 disposables in the UK right now all round.
