With the rise in the amount of big puff vapes on the market, we’re always on the search for the best kits to recommend to our customers. The IVG 2400 is one of the OG big puff vapes on the UK market; with a huge flavour range offering 66 different variations, there is quite literally a flavour for everyone. We reviewed the IVG 2400 to see if it lives up to the hype and complied our thoughts in this blog post!
IVG 2400 Key Features & Specifications
The IVG 2400 is a 2400 puffs device (approx.) with a 1750mAh battery. It comes with 4 x 2ml prefilled pods with 20mg of nicotine salt e-liquid in. It’s 75% more eco-friendly than a standard 600 puffs disposable, and is much more cost effective.
As with all of the big puff vape kits we stock here are vape.co.uk, the IVG 2400 is TPD compliant and legal for sale within the UK, which means it contains a regulated amount of nicotine and e-liquid, and it has passed relevant safety checks. It’s important to only purchase TPD complaint disposable vapes for your own safety. If you’d like to read more and find out how you can tell if a big puff disposable vape is legal and why it matters, you can find the answers at the bottom of our high puff disposable blog.
The IVG 2400 features a revolving pod system, meaning you can go from flavour to flavour as you please by lifting the top half of the kit and twisting.
Inside each box is the IVG 2400 kit itself, an instruction manual, 4 prefilled pods, and 1 mouthpiece. The kit is not rechargeable so there is no charger provided.
I tried the red raspberry edition multi flavour kit, with raspberry kiwi, raspberry lemon soda, raspberry ice and sour raspberry pods. The flavours themselves were really great, nothing to write home about due to the fact the quality of all liquids seem to have boomed over the last few months, but I certainly wasn’t disappointed, and they were really nice and sweet flavours. The throat hit was also decent and I enjoyed being able to quickly switch flavours whenever.
Design, Built Quality and Battery Life
Design
While I do enjoy using a kit that I can switch between 4 different flavours with, it is slightly annoying that you have to use 2 hands to switch to another pod. It’s quite difficult to lift and twist the kit one handed, so it was pretty inconvenient while I was driving. I also hate the fact that you then have to turn the mouthpiece in addition so that the arrows match; this really stumped me when I first assembled the kit (my fault for not reading the instructions first, but really, who does?) and I was wondering why no vapour was coming out.
Another gripe I have with the design of the IVG 2400, is the fact that once a pod is empty, you have to remember the name of the flavour to avoid lifting and twisting to that pod and taking a drag of dry cotton. I kept forgetting which pod I’d finished and forgetting which way I’d twisted it, so it was a bit of a nightmare for someone who likes to change between flavours often.
The IVG 2400 is quite a chunky kit, so it’s not very pocket friendly like its bit puff counterpart, the Elf Bar AF5000. It is very difficult to lose the kit though which is a bonus, and you’ll never accidentally leave the house without it because of it’s size.
The sticker on the bottom of the kit isn’t obvious and does blend in to the kit, so just make sure you remove this before taking a drag.
Aside from all of that, I did really enjoyed the feel of the kit, and whilst it’s not (in my opinion) the most practical of designs, the huge flavour range and quality of the flavours make it worth it.
Build Quality
The IVG 2400 is pretty solid and can withstands bumps and drops from a reasonable height. It also feels sturdy when you’re switching flavour and it’s got a decent weight to it too. When assembling the kit, all of the individual parts look and feel well made and they are all very easy slotted in together. Compared to the assembly of the Zap Instafill, the IVG 2400 was a breeze to put together.
Battery Life
The battery lasted until all of the pods had burnt out, something which I was concerned about when I first started using the kit due to it not being re chargeable. The 1750mAh battery was the perfect capacity for the amount of liquid and I wasn’t caught short with lots of liquid left and a dead kit.
Remove the black sticker from the base of the device, and the bung from the mouthpiece.
Load the pods into the chamber with the gold connectors facing down. Make sure you match the flavour name of the pod to the flavour written on the outside of the kit.
Put the mouthpiece on and press it down firmly.
Align the arrow at the bottom, to the arrow just under the mouthpiece so they are pointing at each other.
To move them, lift the top half of the kit, and twist it. Then twist the mouthpiece
To switch between flavours, just lift up the top half of the kit, and twist it to either the left or the right depending on which pod you’d like to use. Make sure to then move the mouthpiece so that the arrow on the top and the bottom are pointing at each other too.
You don’t need to re charge the IVG 2400, and once the liquid runs out, simply dispose of the kit and open a new one.
Each 2ml pod lasted around a day with continued use, but this will all depend on your own vaping style. If you can get through an Elf Bar, or another 600 puff disposable in a day, then you’ll do the same with 1 of the flavour pods, as they both have 2ml of liquid in them. I was using the IVG for 4 days before I’d used up all of the liquid.
Why is my IVG not working?
Make sure that you have removed the sticker form the bottom of the device to open the airflow. If this sticker is left on, the air won’t be able to flow through the kit and into the coil, so no vapour will come out. Also make sure that the arrow on the top mouth piece part of the kit is aligned with the arrow on the bottom of the kit. If they’re not aligned, you won’t be able to take a drag.
Pros and Cons
Pros
Good Flavour
Huge Flavour Range
Value For Money
Battery Life
Cons
Awkward Design
Bulky
Summary
I am happy with the IVG 2400 overall, I like that the battery never died and that there are 66 flavours and combinations to choose from. The flavour itself was also good, with full, sweet flavours and nice clouds. Although it’s not practical for my lifestyle, I wouldn’t say no if someone offered me a 2400 kit in the future, due to the fact IVG have nailed the most important part of a disposable, the flavour and feel of the drag. There are also undeniable cost savings when using large puff devices, something which is very attractive at the moment when we’re all watching our wallets a little more carefully.
