After using the OXVA Xlim SE V2 for quite some time now, it is easily still my favourite kit on the market today. In all honesty I don’t see another kit replacing it any time soon. The OXVA Xlim SE V2 is a starter kit designed specifically for mouth to lung vaping. It features an auto draw design, with a 900mAh battery. The OXVA comes with 1 SE V2 replacement pod.
The OXVA uses a type-C charging port which allows for quick charging. If you don’t have a Type-C cable at home you’ll probably want to buy the OXVA Xlim SE V2 Bonus kit as the standard version doesn’t come with one in the box.
The Xlim is a refillable kit that competes flavour-wise with disposables. It’s a simple, easy to use kit that’s also budget friendly (and certain cheaper than smoking!). Throughout this blog i’ll just share some of the tips i’ve picked up from using it as my daily vape.
What’s in the box?
1 x OXVA Xlim SE Device
1 x 0.6Ω Xlim V2 Cartridge
1 x Sensor Protector
1 x User Manual
How to refill the OXVA:
Filling the OXVA is easy and can be done in a few simple steps:
Remove the pod from the kit
Open Silicone stopper on the side of the pod
Squeeze nic salt of choice into the pod
Then just close the stopper and you’re good to go!
Which OXVA Xlim SE V2 pods last the longest?
We get it, everyone wants to get the best pods that will give them amazing flavour but also last a lifetime. Although unfortunately this isn’t possible, OXVA have done pretty bloody well with making coils that last longer than most of its competitors.
For longevity and lifespan, the 0.6ohm pods will provide you with pod life of up to 3 weeks (sometimes even more). However as always, this is dependant on use and which nic salts you are vaping. I have used the OXVA Xlim as my daily kit for nearly 6 months now, and even with much sweeter nic salts such as 20mg Hiit Bar Shots they held up extremely well.
My new OXVA xlim pod isn’t working, what do I do?
Although none of us like to admit, vaping is a technology and sometimes technology just doesn’t work. Like with any type of production for any product ever made, there is a minority of faults. But there is a few things you can do to try and get it working. A faulty pod is more than likely a fault with the connectors on the bottom of the pod. It’s also worth noting, this doesn’t just apply to the Xlim V2 Pods, it could be with any brand of kit.
How to fix a faulty vape pod:
Take the pod out of the kit
Use something sharp/anything that can scratch (e.g – needle, brick wall) and make a few scratches on the base of the pod.
Try to the pod both ways round in the vape kit
For the OXVA Xlim there is 2 gold circles, and 2 silver strips at each end – make sure these have all been lightly scratched before placing the pod back into the kit. If this is still isn’t working, try taking a puff whilst pushing the bottom of the kit away from you – this will force press the connectors together and may just kick start the pod to work.
Hopefully the above made sense, but it can be difficult to articulate these little snippets of knowledge we’ve picked up from years of trying and testing different kits, if you need any real time support feel free to drop one of our team a message. My OXVA Xlim pod is leaking, what do I do?
It’s important to note that the OXVA Xlim pods have been built extremely well, and very rarely will actually leak. So of you get a noticeable amount of leaking (e.g there is a visible amount in the bottom of the pod slot) then you should probably just bin the pod and move on to the next one. Residue of e-liquid can seep into the kit itself and cause the xlim to malfunction, and we don’t want that now do we?
A leaky pod can be a result of a couple of things:
Pod is at the end of its life
The pod has been overfilled
You’ve had the kit upside down in your pocket
Because of the above, theres a couple of things you can do to help your pods not leak. If your pod is leaking and you’ve been using it for a while, it’s more than likely it’s time to change the pod. If the flavour is still as it should be then you could just put up with it leaking slightly.
What are the differences between the types of pods for Oxva xlim se V2?
There is 3 different available ohm pods for the OXVA Xlim, and they are:
There isn’t too much different between each pod in terms of flavour output or performance, all 3 are built very well but there are some minor differences.
0.6 ohm – Works very well nic salts but can be used with freebase e-liquids – best choice if you like a full vape
0.8 ohm – Perfect for nic salt e-liquid, usually last 7-14 days and provide really good flavour
1.2 ohm – If you’re looking to match the hit of a disposable vape, then go for this one
What are the best Nic Salts to vape in the OXVA Xlim SE V2?
As you’re probably now aware, the OXVA is able to deliver some of the best flavour you can expect from a refillable kit. With the correct e-liquids, you’ll be able to get the same flavour from the Xlim V2 as you would from the likes of an 20mg ELF Bar.
If you’ve bought an OXVA, congrats. This is probably the best kit on the market available now. If you have any more questions about it, our live chat is available everyday from 08:00 – 20:00. Just click the blue chat icon in the bottom right hand corner of the website.
