Dinner Lady are world famous, their e-liquid is quite literally award winning, but how about their vape kits? They first released their disposable range; “the Dinner Lady Vape Pen” in 2021, which although not the most popular disposable, was still a success. Now they’re back, with a new and exciting disposable, The V800 by Dinner Lady. We found this news exciting, so we wanted to try it out, review it and share it with the world.
Dinner Lady V800 Features
Weighing in at up to 800 puffs, the V800 holds some serious promise, with most disposable vapes offering between 400-600 puffs per kit (impressive). A 500mAh built-in battery will give you all day vaping and no need to recharge the device (it is disposable after all). This battery life is coupled with 2ml of e-liquid, pre-filled and currently only available in a 20mg nicotine strength. The V800 comes in 18 different flavours, with some Dinner Lady Classics like Lemon Tart and Bery Blast whilst introducing some less known flavours like Strawberry Lemonade and Mint Menthol.
What’s in the box?
Inside the box are (no suprise) the Dinner Lady V800 disposable vape kit and two leaflets. One is a user guide and the other is a flavour list.

Build quality, mouthpiece and airflow control
We must begin with the build quality. The actual device shape, weight and quality is superb on the V800. A tube like design which is exactly 11cm tall makes for a portable, comfortable hand held device that is discreet enough to be popped into a pocket or purse. Despite its build quality, the design of the V800 is rather cheap looking. On the side of the device you’ll be able to clearly see which flavour you have bought, but it is anything but slick. Bold and obtuse, the flavour on the side is great for remembering what flavour you’re vaping when your friends ask, but terrible to look at. The mouthpiece of the V800 however is comfortable and slightly more rounded than an Elf Bar for example, without being too radically different from this style.
Adjustable Airflow
Now for the moment you have all been waiting for. That’s right, airflow control. The V800 is one of the first TPD Compliant disposable vape kits to have an adjustable airflow, conveniently located at the bottom of the device. This is no doubt a cool feature from Dinner Lady and one that seems to work quite well. If you are currently vaping a bigger kit and like the ability to adjust airflow (but don’t want to take this kit everywhere), the V800 would be perfect for a night out or in environments where producing huge clouds might not be appropriate. The vapour when the airflow is fully open is still pretty discreet and won’t annoy those around you. Unlike some adjustable airflows, you can definitely notice the difference between open and closed which is of course a massive pro.
Drawbacks of the adjustable airflow
Whilst the adjustable airflow is cool and certainly overall a pro to this device, there are a few bug bears we have with it. One is there is no indication of whether the airflow is opened or closed on the device so unless you’re psychic you won’t know before hitting the vape whether it is opened or closed. Another drawback is there is no lock on it, so in your pocket it is quite likely the airflow will change, which is a petty criticism, but could get rather annoying as a vaper.
Flavour
What is the single most important thing for a disposable vape kit? Flavour. So how does the Dinner Lady V800 perform for flavour? Well, sorry Dinner Lady, but absolutely terribly. The V800 lacks any real flavour like most other disposables. This wouldn’t be an issue if you are a first time vaper, because you wouldn’t know anything different, but if you were switching from Geek Bar’s or something similar, you will be disappointed by the flavour. We are surprised by this, because Dinner Lady e-liquids are fantastic in any kit you try, in fact some of the best available today, but they haven’t executed this in the V800. With regards to flavour, this kit would be suitable to someone who wants a back up device to their larger kit.
Pro’s and Con’s of the Dinner Lady V800
Pro’s:
800 Puffs is a lot for a disposable
Built Quality and shape
Adjustable Airflow
Smooth Hit
Cons:
Flavour
Price
No airflow indicator
In Summary…
We love what Dinner Lady have tried to do here. Adjustable airflows could well be the next generation of disposable vaping, especially for people who use a disposable as a back up to their refillable device and Dinner Lady are clearly leading the way. However, the execution of the airflow needs work and an indicator for less experienced vapers to know where open and closed is. The flavour of the Dinner Lady V800 is simply not good enough, something that could be resolved by changing the coils. It’s a great idea, and the kit does last the 800 puff distance, but ultimately flavour is everything in disposable vaping. Maybe e-liquid is where the focus should be for Dinner Lady, if it’s not broken – don’t fix it!
